Phew- March was a difficult one. Anyone who knows me, knows how crazy
I've been trying to prevent illness from entering our house, so when all of us got hit with a bad cold, I faced many fears and conquered several anxieties. And guess what, we made it! My takeaway from this month is that when times get tough, you're hardwired to put your head down and charge forward. I'm feeling stronger, happier, and more confident I can handle this crazy journey of Motherhood. I digress.. Even though we had some bad days, there are still fun memories to share. Here's a brief month in review:
Pictured: Morning Book Time. My favorite things about this little baby girl as of lately: When she wants to be held she says, "I need to hold you". When she wants something (usually candy or to play on my phone) she says, "please, please, pleeease?", very quietly. When she sings her nursery rhymes. When she walks around talking to herself, usually with a purse and stuffed animal in hand. When she wants to throw me on the 'bayod' (bed), play "Hide and Go Seek", and play with her 'fwends'. She still loves to have dance parties, and has even learned a choreographed dance to the "Shimmer and Shine" theme song. She loves her crown and amulet, from "Sofia the First", complete with a hand gesture to show you each one (she'd made a great Vanna White). She's becoming more and more affectionate with her baby brothers, and that transfers to her taking care of her baby dolls with compassion and care. I love this babe!
If this isn't the cutest thing, I don't know what is!
We had a little issue with putting stickers on the walls. Mommy finally got smart and put up designated 'Sticker Posters' where stickers are allowed. Still not as fun as putting them on walls, though.
Tummy Time for Elliott!
So interested in their hands. FUN UPDATE! Eddie cut his first tooth (picture to come if I can get him to move that little tongue out of the way)! I forgot how hard teething is, but he's taking it like a champ.
TRUTH! Anyone who disagrees is invited-- nay, challenged to come take care of our brood for an afternoon. Want to make it a Death Round? Add three sick babies all needing something from you, when you yourself are also sick. Hardest job in the world, yet still the best!
Oh my goodness, this was so funny. She seriously looked like this for 20 minutes. Just loungin' in the dirt.
Silly Eddie!!
I tried to get some sensory play in during morning activities...
... but sensory play is sooo five months ago. She wanted to actually paint! Too smart
Potty training is going well...
Dyeing Easter Eggs!!
How you feed two bubbas at once. I took this pictures so I'd remember how we did it!
Scotland looking at Sammy, Sammy looking at PJ Masks, PJ Mask looking at the ceiling
We celebrated our Nana Lu's birthday! It was the first time taking all three babies out into the world! At an actual real-life restaurant! They did fabulously. Luckily we had a private room so that Scotland could spread out (and kiss all the chairs and tables). We love you Nana!
Easter Sunday!
Easter Basket (obviously)
Elliott- I can't even breathe, these outfits were SO cute!!!
Eddie- Looking so cool already!
Jovial Gentlemen!
Baby Girl
Mom and her boys
Oh dear.... the first day of sickness
Haha, that awkward moment when your whole family looks at you after realizing Scotland was, in fact, sick...
At the plastic surgeon's to see if they qualify for helmets.
Such good boys!
No helmet for this one- just has a big ol' head! We're contemplating which side of the family he got this from :D
Happy Eddie. He was starting to feel a little under the weather
Poor baby boy... His cold went right to his upper airways and he was wheezing and honking up a storm. After two trips to the doctor and hospital, he was finally breathing a little better. There were times during the day whilst going back and forth from home to the doctor's that my body would scream at me, reminding me that I, too, was not feeling great. Mom's don't get to be sick!
Isn't it amazing how you can just look at him and know he doesn't feel well. Ugh!
Scotland loves to organize. This was her helping Daddy put together our new awesome playground.
A little Peppa in the afternoon!
Sissy and Eddie feeling so much better!!
Eddie loves to eat Elliott's fingers.
The newest addition to our backyard! This was Scotland's birthday present that came a little early. THANK YOU Dama, Frapa, Papa, Nana, and GG! We love you!
7 MONTHS Update
Eddie:
He weighed in at almost 18 lbs at the doctor's office! I was surprised he was that big! My little bubba is just the sweetest guy. He LOVES to move and roll all over the place. He's almost crawling-- he's got the rocking on all fours down. He still loves to snuggle and could probably be held all day long. He loves kisses and chewing, which now kind of hurts thanks to his new tooth! He's fascinated by his sissy, and longs to be right by his brother. I love this bouncy little boy!
Elliott:
I'm assuming he's probably about the same weight. He's doing so well in physical therapy, but some days are better than others. He's finally rolling over, but does so with trepidation. He likes to squawk and babble. He observes everything around him. They actually have real conversations with each other, where one will squawk and the other with squawk back. Then they both giggle. These are the times I am completely fascinated that I have two babies at once. Elliott is so connected to the other side, I feel. I'm not typically one to share my faith, but he looks like he knows things we don't. I find great comfort in this. I love this little magical unicorn!
Sissy and Elly Belly
Basking in the sun.
We ended our month frolicking through bubbles. I love her adventurous spirit. Thanks for all the lessons, March! And SEE YA NEVER cold! Until the next one... but I'm okay with that.
